Bambi answers ALL your questions |
So, I guess you folks that live at Avenida still need my help. That's okay by me. If you have many more people around like my cousin, Barbara, I can see that my job here will last a long time. That's okay. Since I aged out of my last profession, I have plenty of time on my hands. So I am happy to help you folks with my good advice.
Dear Bambi,
I live at Avenida but nobody really knows me. I am not shy but I do not usually like to attract attention to myself. I would like to fit in a little better. I go to events but no one really notices or talks to me. In fact, I have been introduced to several people several times and they do not seem to remember the previous introduction. I sit with a group of folks and I do not know what to say. If I get up to get food or something the seat is gone when I come back. I am beginning to feel like a ghost but I never seem to scare people. What do you suggest I do. I do not look forward to a winter spent sitting alone in my apartment.
Unforgettable Undine
Dear Unforgettable Undine,
You have to find a way to stand out. In the morning go to breakfast early and turn on the TV in the Great Room. Sit with the wall of women, the long table or the farthest table away in the Bistro. You will be noticed. It might be negative at first but do not worry about that.
When you are getting your breakfast, complain about everything, no matter what. Every once in a while drop something but do not clean it up. After eating your breakfast leave your garbage on the table. Someone will notice that for sure. He will happily clean it up.
If there is anything on in the Media Lounge go in watch... Bring a fur throw and wrap up in it. Sign up for everything and then don't show up to anything. You name will be called out a lot. People will get familiar with it.
As soon as everyone knows your name you can go back to being your normal self. People will be talking about you everywhere. They will be so happy that you finally reformed from obnoxious to Avenida nice. I guarantee you will even get lots of card congratulating you for your transformation.

You are one special lady! I enjoy your humor!😊
ReplyDeleteAre you really the one who writes "Ask Amy" in the Trib?
ReplyDeleteDear Bambi, just checking in to see how you're feeling about the results of the Costume Contest last night. I don't know who these "ghost" judges were, but I can't believe you were not in the top 3! Seriously! You will always be my
ReplyDeleteNumber 1.
I am sure I am everyone's Number 1. However, just think back a tiny bit. I was not wearing a costume! I was wearing my everyday outfit. I was just me, Bambi! I think that is quite enough for everyone right now.
