Bambi handles the changes

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Bambi,
There are so many changes going on! Everleigh is not the same. I do not like it at all. Old friends are moving out and strangers are moving in.  I am afraid to make friends because they might move and then I will be stuck with no one. It is getting so confusing that I might move myself! What do you think I should do since you are such a woman of the world?
Naomi
Dear Naomi,
As I explained before change is a part of life. Nothing stays the same. People grow older. Friends move away. (Keep in mind that enemies move away too, so sometimes change is a good thing!) If you want to move just move. Here are some reasons to move.
  !. You can no longer afford the rent.
  2. You need three meals a day because you are finding fixing lunch and dinner is too difficult.
  3. Your health is deteriorating and you need more care.
  4. You need to be closer to your family.
  5. You have done something so embarrassing that you will never live it down.
  6. Everyone really hates you. It is not just your imagination!
So if any of that describes you then do not sign the next lease!
Dear Bambi,
I have my eye on one of the new gentlemen who moved in. I do not think he is married! Sometimes the men come to breakfast alone while their wives sleep in. How can I find out if a newcomer has a wife lurking in his apartment without climbing up to his balcony? It is really weird around here because sometimes you think someone lives somewhere and then you see them entering and exiting a completely different apartment that you thought someone else was living in. I am so confused!!
Lydia
Dear Lydia,
Yes, it is confusing sometimes. You think someone lives somewhere but they always come down on the wrong elevator or stairway for that apartment. You sit in the hall all day and night and no one enters or leaves other apartments that are supposed to be occupied. There are like ghost apartments here!! Even if you follow someone to their apartment it might not even be the right one! I can think of only one solution for you. Look at the directory we receive and just see if a woman of the same name is listed next to your new guy's name. Usually that is his wife unless he is living with his sister or something.
Dear Bambi,
I was just wondering why you do not seem to get many questions from men. I know there are fewer men living here, but there do seem to be a lot more men lately.  They must have problems too, because everyone does. I was thinking maybe you have private consultations with them because you see to have an affinity for the opposite sex. Do you offer one-on-one consultations? I think it would be particularly interesting if that was happening. You could tell us what they tell you. We could guess what men have what problems.  It would be a fun game to play in the Bistro some day.
Estelle
Dear Estelle,
You must really be some kind of nutcake. I do not have an affinity for the opposite sex. Of course, I can't help it if they are attracted to me but that is beside the point.
Men seldom come to me or anyone else with their problems. They just hold all their feelings in. Instead they talk about sports constantly. Finally, they explode from suppressing their feelings. Notice when they are watching a game at the park or on TV. Every now and then they jump up and shout. Sometimes they will even swear! That is just them letting their feelings out. They are doing it because their problems are eating away inside.
If your male person watches a lot of sports, he has a lot of problems. You should probably get him to a marriage counselor or something like that. The more sports and jumping up and shouting, the bigger the problem. This theory has been proven correct again and again. However, it has never been publicized because there is big money in sports, as you know.
Bambi
PS Some women suffer from this same suppressive behavior. You will see them huddled around the TV watching the games. Often they yell even louder than the guys. Believe me, those ladies have problems!
  2. Apparently you do not have difficulties in the spring, summer and most of the winter. I am very sorry your most problematic season is coming up. Stay tough and try to be sympathetic to those who must suffer during many seasons of sports. You will be a survivor, dear!
